Arunachala
Do you remember the Five Branches of Yoga?
The path of devotion is the most beautiful way to realize the Divine. This Winter I had the opportunity to dive into a huge ocean of devotion in Tiruvannamalai, in Tamil Nadu, and climbing barefoot the Arunachala Hill, where Ramana Maharshi spent more than 50 years living and practicing Yoga.
There was a big question in my mind. Is it possible that God itself or the Supreme Being, could be embodied in a mountain? I wanted to see it by myself and spent four weeks practicing Yoga, reading and meditating.
There are many things the mind cannot explain, and this may be an obstacle to the freedom of our spirit, which is what we all yogis are willing to achieve. To do that, humility is necessary, to understand with your heart what the mind likes to judge and classify. You dont even need to understand, but just to accept it.
There are many ways in which we can develop love for the Divine and we all can do it, if we are able to step out of our comfort zone and just be spontaneous. How is your life treating you lately? Maybe you too should get out for a while and rediscover what is most important for you.
May the Light of Yoga always be present in your path, and may you be always motivated to grow and go deeper and deeper into this journey of knowing who you are and why you are here.
